About Us!

EconomistNow was an idea created not too long ago; actually it came to me when I took a trip to visit my brother in Alabama this summer (2011). Driving twenty-two hours round trip will push any person to either insanity or a deep coma of thought. Obviously I resorted to a deep coma of thought. While driving, my father and I passed through countless cities and I personally saw what life was like outside of suburban Richmond, Virginia. Seeing just how vast our country is, even though I only caught a small sliver of it, was quite an adventure in itself, but it forced me to view things in the eyes of an economist. Economics to some is a complex and dull topic, but I am fascinated with how and why things work within our economy. Whether you are from small town USA or foreign cities, my hope is that you will share in my journey in discovering just how unique and luminous our worlds economy is.

The articles that I publish seek to explain and uncover some of the wildest things that happen in our economy. Every week EconomistNow articles will bring a diverse flavor and cover topics that pertain to finance, investment, economics, public policy, or anything that affects markets in our world.  Some topics and ideas are imbedded in other news outlets, but EconomistNow takes the bad taste out of difficult reading and plugs in what really matters to readers: entertainment. Our motto is: Your markets, our insights, which indicates that we are merely observers of how world markets work and brings events and news to light for our readers in a simple and direct manner. To sum it up, EconomistNow hopes to enrich economic thought and foster debate for years to come in our readers.

  • I may have already sent this – if so sorry. I fell in love with Economics during my 1st class at Baylor – so I majored in it. I enjoy studying, researching and writing about it. Do you accept articles from others or is this just for your insights?
